today i got three seperate emails stating that lady gaga has sold her soul to the devil and is using her music and videos to further satan's goals.

they then go take the various symbology and wording in her music and videos and explain what they mean/represent.

she is rather wild and out there, and yes i'll admit she does use a lot of symbolism in her music videos.

i had an awesome experience that i wanted to share.

i recently attended a course in a town about 60 miles from where i live to get my certification for my business.

it was a 6 day course and i was to receive my certification at the end of my training.

Congratulations Knowsnothing ( sounds like a misnomer ).

I fear that the most difficult thing for you will be your mums emotional blackmail, if indeed she trys that.

It is not a nice thing to do, but understanding that she is scared for you, and for her, might help you to pardon it.

In the meantime, enjoy your new freedom.

In a past post, you spoke of a good friend who you can confide in. Are you in touch with him at the moment?

well, i moved out of home to study more and live a "evil" life as my parents call it of going to church to light a candle!

i did this twice in the last month and i'm supporting a whore!

and by whore i mean you know babalyon the great!and all apostates are hitchhikers!

You know, it wont all be easy going, but keep striving toward your goal. You wont regret it.

And again if you really love us you would never do such a thing.....

emotional blackmail. But dont hold it against your mum. She's REALLY scared for you.

Remember, your parents came from a war torn country. Sure their life is better, and they may well feel that they have a lot to be grateful for. But this is YOUR life. Live it to the full.

after this last conversation with my father, i had almost decided to completely just not have any contact at all.

but then realized i still need to go through my parents to ever talk with my little sister.

if i'm feeling up to any discussion at all with them, it's going to be short.

I think, however, that you know the kind of answers you will get already:

we do stand up to critism when its bible based.

we must obey jehovah/fds, he/they say not to speak to apostates.

But............., I do like your second question: with the clarifier " someone born-in". That one is likely to make them woffle a bit more than normally.

New here - hello!

i can't believe i'm actually posting here.

i've been lurking for a while and i've been having doubts about this being the "truth" for years and sometimes feel really stuck and hopeless about my situation.

i'm married to an elder (who is 110% jw) and i was for the most part raised in the "truth".

I get the impression that, whilst not against the principle of being a jehovahs witness, you are beginning to doubt that it IS the truth, as we were all led to beleive, and therefore, you are wondering if you are not just wasting your life?

You say that your husband is your best friend. Perhaps you would prefer spending your time differently together?

Understanding the real reason why you feel like you do, might well help you decide on what course to take next.

I finally did it!!

so, even thought i faded more than a year ago, i still had my wt "library" w me, i am talking about the actual books!

dozens of them... well, this past week i have been thinking and talking to some (jw) friends and i realized i dont ever want to go back to that mess... so, i threw every single one of those books in the dumpster about 15 minutes ago... and it felt great!!

i had 3 boxes of books, i mean trash.... and it while throwing in the dumpster i promise, i felt like i was throwing my anger with it... i feel renew... ready to start the 1st day of the rest of my life!!
